Colony Workplaces - Huntington Chamber of Commerce
Colony Workplaces and The Huntington Chamber of Commerce
The days of “build it and they will come” are over. Competition in any market is tougher then ever; you cannot go it alone. You have to start your business with a network already in place. No one is going to walk in off the street and start buying your product. You need the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.
But what do you do if you don’t have a customer base or you are introducing a new brand to the market? The answer is very simple, you join the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. Their established network is sure to boost your business and enhance your brand recognition throughout the Huntington Township, and all of Long Island.
But don’t think that you can simply join and watch the business flow in. It takes a willingness to participate. You must get involved by going to events, hosting events and volunteering to help the Chamber.
Joining the Huntington Chamber of Commerce has been one of the smartest things we could have done. Their outreach and active members have really been a huge part of our success and brand recognition. If you are thinking about joining the Chamber, this should be a no brainer for you.
Recently, we had our Ribbon Cutting Event. The Chamber blasted our event out to hundreds of members. They were able to get local politicians to our event too.
At the Chamber’s holiday party, we met Scotto Savitt, a local event promoter and lifelong Huntington resident. We have been working with Scotto ever since. With his outreach, he was able to enhance our event by getting local establishments like Albert’s Mandarin, Southdown Pizza and Babalu NY to donate food. At a previous networking event, we met the owner of Six Harbors Brewing Company, who was happy to donate the beer for the night. And the night would not have been the same without DJ Tommy Bruno, owner of Celebrity DJ Entertainment.
Here are some photos of our event with local politicians, Chamber staff and great members. We can’t thank the chamber enough for helping us get off the ground!
